The House Committee on Appropriations on Friday terminated the briefing of the proposed P5.268 trillion national budget for 2023.

The briefing was terminated after the deliberation of the budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).

The leadership of the House of Representatives is expected to file the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) on Monday in preparation for the planned budget deliberation in the plenary on Tuesday.

Based on the schedule, the House will approve on the third and final reading the proposed 2023 GAB before the session adjourns on September 30.
