‘60 speeches a week’: Robredo thanks ‘katropa’ behind speechwriting, video shoot

Thanks to her competent team, the country’s second highest government official never fails to bring her best to work.

Robredo took to Facebook to express gratitude to her “katropa” that included her speechwriters and video team. The Vice President made the appreciation post after spending three half days shooting speeches and video messages this week.

First, Robredo thanked her speechwriting group. While her writers prepare draft speeches, she makes the final touches before delivering them.

“Ang tibay din ng speechwriters natin. We average about 60 speeches a week,” she said.

“Yung process, they send me the draft speeches earlier than the shoot, I send them back suggested edits, they finalize the drafts, then day of the shoot, mga pahabol pang last minute edits kung meron, just before the shoot,” she said.

Robredo also extended her thanks to her video team for their indefatigable work.

“Dami din trabaho ng video editors, videographers, teleprompter operator, cameramen. Akala mo andami😊 Tig dalawang tao lang na nagpapalitan✌ Minsan siguro, bored na din sila. Meron na silang mga trick shots, etc😅,” she said.

So how does Robredo manage to smoothly deliver all these speeches? The veep is supplied with water, tea and throat spray.

“Ang katapat lang para maitawid namin, ilang boteng tubig, isang mainit na tasang salabat, at throat spray,” she said.

“Ang post na ito, para sa mga ka tropa ko sa video shoot. Maraming salamat sainyo❤” she added.

Since she removes her mask whenever she delivers a speech, Robredo’s office is equipped with air purifiers. She said they also undergo regular antigen swab test in the office as precaution against COVID-19.
